Avynne is a software engineer with degrees in computer science and music. Avynne is passionate about the development of music technology and believes that innovation and creativity belong in all fields of technological development. Coding
Avynne is currently a master’s student at Queen Mary University of London, studying Sound and Music Computing. Avynne has previously worked in IT, database management, Java development, robotics, education, and site reliability engineering.
Avynne has a B.A. in Computer Science from Central College, where she studied with Dr Mark Johnson, Dr Stephan Fyfe, and Dr Robert Franks.
Music
As a bass clarinettist, Avynne currently plays with the Queen Mary University of London Orchestra and Wind Band. She has played with the Longmont Concert Band based in Longmont, CO, in the past. She was educated in clarinet performance at Central College in Pella, Iowa, where she studied with Dr Cynthia Krenzel. At Central College, Avynne played with the Symphonic Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr Mitchell Lutch and Stan Dahl and the Central College Flying Pans Steel Band under the direction of Stan Dahl.
Fun!
When not coding or practising music, Avynne enjoys many hobbies. She is an avid athlete who enjoys rock climbing, running, ice dancing, and weight lifting. You can follow her on Instagram here.
She also brings creativity into her hobbies through crafting. She enjoys sewing, knitting, and crocheting.
